Hi Saints!
We have responded individually to so many of you that we thought it most efficient to share the process by which you can join with United Methodists to send your support to the relief efforts for the ongoing tragedy in Texas. Our denomination’s relief organization, UMCOR (United Methodist Committee On Relief) is on the ground right now and continues to give life affirming assistance to so many of the residents of Texas who have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey.

To give, you may:
1. Mail or place a check in the offering plate to Williamsport UMC. In the subject line, put Hurricane Harvey Relief UMCOR. Our church will then send one check representing all of the funds received to UMCOR and your gifts will be added to other United Methodists from all over the world (YES! Our brothers and sisters in countries beyond ours are sending gifts of love and abundance to aid us!). This is God’s love in action! Most of us will not be able to go to Texas and lend aid, but our resources will be sent and used and be God’s hands and feet in the midst of raging waters and shivering spirits.

3. To donate by phone: Dial 1-888-252-6174.
If you have any issues with your donation or require help to complete your donation, please let the church office know.

Friends, water continues to rise right now, days after the initial landfall of Hurricane Harvey. Some have just the clothes on their backs as they race to escape the flood waters. 100 percent of your donation will go to the recovery and relief efforts through UMCOR. Virtually no other organization can make that claim. We thank you in advance as you make a difference in our world.
